John 19:30

The apostle John writing (God speaking via scripture...The Word), this being a direct quote of Jesus that His work was finished.

Wycliffe Bible of 1384:

King James Bible of 1611: "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost."

NAS Bible of 1960:  "Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit."

NIV Bible 1973-78: "When he had received the drink, Jesus said, 'It is finished.' With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."
