Luke 4:18-19

The apostle Luke writing (God speaking via scripture...The Word), telling about Jesus famously returning to His home town of Nazareth, reading from the scroll of Isaiah, only to (in subsequent verses) confirm the modern saying that "no one is a prophet in his own home town".

NIV Bible 1973-78: 18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
