Another Special Life in Christ

These testimony lives are not stories of "role models". Jesus is the role model!

Gov. Mike Huckabee:

Born about 1956, he finished college in 2 years and attended seminary (because he wanted to be involved in Christian broadcasting) for a year during  which time his wife had to undergo surgery and radiation for spinal cancer. They were financially wiped out and existed month to month...God amazingly providing.

He (Wikipedia write up) took a job directing the television ministries of evangelist James Robison. Later, he was a pastor in Pine Bluff & then Texarkana, Arkansas (each place 6 years). He sees government as the mission field to which he has been called...not to create a theocracy but to be a present witness as he governs. He became governor 15 July 1996 on resignation of the previous governor (had been Lt. Gov. from 1993) and re-elected in 2002.

In a lesson to all believers who are not pastors or in full time Christian ministry, Mike feels that his impact on non-believers & believers might actually be greater than when he was a pastor. Another in this testimony list worked for the governor at one time.
