A Brown Family of South Carolina

We aren't sure when the Brown's came to the USA (late 1700s?), but we think they came to South Carolina. And it was before the Civil War. John Alexander Brown is our civil war ancestor; back up to the family tree page and search the master data file by either the index or the surname list.

My cousin has some old family photos (Wuh & Poppoo; their four daughters; Nonie & Uncle Murr & old MaMa; and the Sumter High football team of 1909) on his web site along with the mysterious "Landlord's Invitation" which we all loved to show to friends as we grew up....check it out & see if you can decode it!
