2 Corinthians 1:21-22

The apostle Paul writing (God speaking via scripture...The Word), reminding the believers at the church in Corinth of the facts after the security of salvation in Jesus.

Wycliffe Bible of 1384: 21 Sotheli it is God that confermeth vs with you in Crist, and the which God anoyntide vs,
22 and which markide vs, and yaf ernes of the spirit in oure hertis.

King James Bible of 1611: "21Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts."

NIV Bible 1960:  "21Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."

NAS Bible 1973-78: "21Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,
22who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge."
