Probably the apostle Luke writing (God speaking via scripture...The
Word) of the apostle Peter speaking to the powerful Sanhedrin of Israel about
the healing of a man crippled since birth & that the healing was through the
name of Jesus who they had crucified and that salvation is only through Jesus.
Wycliffe Bible of 1384: 12and heelthe is not in ony othir. For nether other name vndur heuene is youun to men, in which it bihoueth vs to be maad saaf.
King James Bible of 1611: "'Neither is there
salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among
men, whereby we must be saved.'"
NAS Bible of 1960: "'And there is salvation in no one
else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by
which we must be saved.'"
NIV Bible 1973-78: "'Salvation is found
in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we
must be saved.'"
