BIBLICAL PROCESS:
SEEKING/DISCOVERY
The very fact that you are checking into anything
about religion should be taken as at least some minimal evidence that God is either at work
to lead you to himself or is at work to return you (revive you) into a closer walk with Him.
The absolute truth is that God is there.
Though He is there and draws
certain humans ("elect")
toward Him, the human must be the one who actively seeks. "When you search for me with all
your heart, you will find me" (God speaking through the prophet Jeremiah, the book of
Jeremiah 29:13). "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these
things (whatever else in life you need) shall be added unto you" (Jesus speaking, as recorded
in the book of Matthew, 6:33). "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (these are the words of
Jesus as recorded in the book of John 3:16.) Whoever becomes a believer in Jesus becomes an
actual child of God; then, the scriptures become discernable to the believer...THE TRUTH in
the scriptures becomes discernable. THE TRUTH of scripture is actually closed to
nonbelievers; this is probably one of the reasons that the great literary aspects of the
Bible are not successfully taught in schools. YET, the Bible is not a self-explanatory book!
