Little boy comes back from drowning:
Faye Bowers told our Sunday School class today (10 August 2002) that her daughter heard a man tell that his 4 year old son recently drowned. There was a pool party at his house and lots of teenagers splashing and playing in the pool. The little boy had been on a float and had his "swimmies" on. The daddy said that he turned his back for just a minute. Then he looked and saw his son at the bottom of the pool. He plunged in and swam down and pulled the little boy out. He was beginning to turn purple and was not breathing...changing from purple to almost a black color. The mother ran next door to get a nurse neighbor who raced back and administered CPR.
The boy, a son in a Christian family, recovered. He said to his daddy, "When I went down, I saw you through the telescope and asked you to come get me. But you couldn't hear me. So I was going to leave. But I saw a man who told me that I had to go back."
The family showed the boy one of the typical stereotypical pictures of Jesus (of course, no one knows what Jesus really looked like). The boy said, "That's not him." Later, the boy happened to see a photograph of his grandfather who had been dead many years. "That's the man!" See other faith & health information [here].
