Another Special Life in Christ
These testimony lives are not stories of "role models". Jesus is the
role model!
These are lives wonderfully touched & changed by Jesus!
Caveman speaks daily:
Born about 1931 and a churchgoer as a child, John Lewis "Johnny" Hart (1931-2007) had later achieved fame far and wide; and he and his wife were living the life of the famous.
A real estate agent told him of a 158-acre place with 28-acre lake...he bought it and began
house renovations and the building of his studio. To his horror, he realized that they would
be without TV!
A neighbor introduced a father-son pair of satellite TV dish salesmen who
agreed to wire his place up. A complicated job, it took the pair over 2 months. As
Christians, they kept the Christian channel on as a test channel. Johnny, commenting on the
type of TV programs, said, "Is that all there is?" "No Sir, Mr. Hart; we can change to
something else!"
Strangely, Hart didn't request a change. Even stranger, he found himself
sneaking over and peeping through a cracked door to hear and watch those TV preachers. Soon,
"I drove by the Nineveh church one Sunday morning". He noticed a scene remindful of childhood
times. He joked to wife Bobby, "Hey, like to go to church?" Looking at him as if he had asked
a really weirdo question, "No, not really." He then secretly prayed that God would change her
heart. And in just 2 weeks, she asked the church question of him.
Residing in Nineveh, New
York, Johnny Hart, cartoonist author of the cartoon strip, BC, was a committed Christian and
Sunday school teacher of children. His syndicated cartoon was seen in at least 1300
newspapers, and it delighted him that the unabashed Christian themes in the cartoon generate
much discussion among both secular and Christian readers and publishers...even to the point
of huge debates resulting in the termination of his strip in some
newspapers.
