Robert Blair Price, Sr.: Born about 1926, Robert Price still runs in the church's annual 5k race (as of 2000). Energetic and outgoing, he has participated every week in a local Sunday Department of Mental Health visitation ministry since 1960; so, we rarely see him at Sunday morning service at Northside Baptist Church, West Columbia, S. C. He and his sweet wife, Louise Y. Price, have been members there since the mid 1960s.

In the late 1970s, Mr. Price's insurance agent sent him a card on his birthday. Robert appreciated it so much that he began to send cards to members in his section of the army reserves. In the early 80s, he started playing on the church softball team when Northside did not have a field of it's own; and they played in the Columbia Recreation League. Among those on his birthday-card list are members of those various softball and basketball teams. Over the years his list of birthday card recipients has grown. In 2001, he sent out 1390 cards! What motivates a man to give in such a way? How did his conversion happen? More later!
