Sandy Carlson Becker: She was born in 1943. Even in high school, fellow students knew what was most important to Sandy Carlson. She graduated from Wheaton College and worked with Campus Crusade for Christ...having extensive impact through the Jesus Film Project. Married to Nils Becker, they served for 36 years in the USA, South Korea, the Philippines, and Russia. During 1999-2001, she spearheaded the effort that resulted in getting a Millennial Tribute version of the Jesus film on into 120 countries, drawing one billion viewers! In her life, she was the recipient of tributes form many of the world's best known figures, including three US presidents. A friend said, "Nothing was too big for Sandy, but that's because nothing was too big for Sandy's God. She put no limits on what God could use her for or what he could do through her." She died of cancer 13 Dec. 2001 after a valiant battle

After her memorial services, the family did exactly what Sandy would have done had she been there: they held a party! It was a thank-you luncheon that included a brief explanation of the gospel for the staff at the hospital who had helped repeatedly with Sandy's care (40 doctors, nurses, aides, and administrative staff attended). All who attended left with a copy of the Jesus film video.
