Sarah Manley: A very sweet "senior" lady & member of our church, she is the mother of Ben Manley (Ben & I were in a men's group together several years in the 90s) and grandmother of Belinda Cress...all of Lexington County, S. C. My guess is that Miss Sarah was born about 1930, and she has been widowed many years (I heard Ben tell many stories of Mr. Manley's frequent examples of acts of quiet & personal Christian service to people he encountered as a salesman). Some years ago, Miss Sarah was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin malignant lymphoma. She told me and Betty (after church services early in Jan. 2003) that, about some time after her 5th chemotherapy treatment, she had a divine encounter. While alone one night, her room filled with a bright light, and she became aware of an assuring "voice" in her mind telling her that "I will cure you of this cancer". And she could feel someone holding her hand as this message was conveyed. And she was filled with a sense of peace, well-being, and assurance! See other faith & health information [here].
