Dr. Schwab is the Iranian-born daughter of a Muslim father and an American Jewish mother. In 1998 she agreed to fill a position in a Columbia practice after the death of Dr. Greg Jowers. Signs of his devout Christianity were everywhere in his office. Schwab didn't feel right removing Jower's stuff. After a while it seemed to be sending her a message. Schwab listened and became a Christian.

She found out, through God's Word, that her new goal in life was to help those less fortunate. Schwab has established a mobile free medical clinic that serves the needy in areas around Lexington County.
