Another Special Life in Christ

Dr. Suzanne "Suzy" Schwab:

Dr. Schwab is the Iranian-born daughter of a Muslim father and an American Jewish mother.  When she was younger, he mother began a conversion to Christianity (she thought "they" we corrupting her mother!). In 1998 she agreed to fill a position in a Columbia practice after the death of Dr. Greg Jowers.  Signs of his devout Christianity were everywhere in his office.  Schwab didn't feel right removing Dr. Jowers' stuff.  After a while the situation seemed to be sending her a message.  Schwab listened and became a Christian at age 34.

She came to realize  that her new goal in life was to help neighbors who were less fortunate.  Schwab has established a mobile free medical clinic (Med Mission) that serves the needy in areas around Lexington County. This medical family practice is one part of a 501 3C charitable entity called Mission of Hope Ministries. Med Mission has a clinic office at 1819 Middleton St. behind the flagship location of Maurice Bessinger's Piggy Park BBQ (BBQ is located on south side of merger of #321 & #302 to form Knox Abbott Drive, Cayce, S. C.). It also has a mobile office which serves Batesburg from First Baptist Church and Pelion at Pelion United Methodist Church.

The article ("Mobile Free Clinic...") published in The State newspaper (Columbia, SC) 29 Dec. 2009 can only be read through their archives. About Dec. 2016, Dr. Suzy joined a family practice in the Columbia, S. C. area, HERE and now is in Batesburg-Leesville, S. C., with LMC THERE.
