A Vernoy or Vernooy Family branch to South Carolina

My children's maternal great grandfather was Albert John Vernoy of Canadensis, Pa., born in 1899. His daughter Ruth [check Vernoy link through her Find a Grave memorial, HERE] met Jones William Brown of Greenville, S.C. while he was in the Army. They married, and a Vernoy branch was planted in South Carolina...the home being in Cayce, S.C. Ruth died in 1995.

The Vernooys came from Holland in 1664. Cornelis Cornelissen VerNooy, on board the ship FAITH, in New York, landed somewhere up the Hudson River. He died in 1727; there was a son of the same name (CCV, Jr.) and a grandson of the same name (CCV, III).
