Sir John Marks Templeton:

His Life Before Jesus Came In:

 Born 29 November 1912 in the small town of Winchester, Tennessee, he was raised in a devout Christian family. A biographical item bearing some irony: a dozen years later in nearby Dayton, TN, the famous Scopes "Monkey Trial" would unfold in a battle of evolution theory vs. fundamentalist views of Creation. He decided early in life that he wanted to make a difference with his life and resources. I don't yet have details of his coming personally to belief in Jesus.

His Life Since Jesus Came In:

He founded the highly successful Templeton group of mutual funds. He later created The Templeton Foundation 9check this site out!) which gives millions annually to religious and charitable causes, including the Templeton Prize in religion...more money to an individual than in the Nobel Peace Prize.. He is recently quoted as saying, "I focus on spiritual wealth; and I'm busier, more enthusiastic, and more joyful than I have ever been!"
